Dear POLiS members, dear PIs, dear colleagues,

We warmly invite you to the POLiS Open Day Ulm on April 28, 2025, starting at 10:30 am! The goal of this event is to present the diverse analytical methods available in the POLiS Lab in Lise-Meitner-Straße 16 and provide an overview of their potential applications, while focusing on our “Big Five” instruments in LM16: XRD, XPS, AFM, SEM/EDS and XRF.

While the featured methods are primarily used in battery research, they also offer exciting opportunities for other research fields, such as synthesis and material characterization. Therefore, this invitation is not only directed at researchers in battery science but at anyone interested in the available analytical techniques.

In addition to gain insights into various analytical methods, there will be plenty of opportunities for networking and exchange with members of different research groups. To facilitate this, we also invite you to a joint lunch, which will be provided for all participants. Furthermore, a lab tour will be offered to showcase the analytical equipment and its applications on-site.
