POLiS Conclave

Klausurtagung

This year's Conclave took place from June 18 to 19, 2024 in the heart of Karlsruhe. Around 130 excellent young scientists from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Ulm University and Justus Liebig University Giessen as well as guest scientists from all over the world came together with established professors to discuss the latest research trends in battery research. For the first time, the event took place in a prestigious venue in the heart of Karlsruhe right at Schlossplatz.

The agenda featured a total of 6 keynote presentations and 21 regular talks. In three poster sessions, a total of over 50 POLiS members presented their research findings and for the first time, a poster prize was awarded by all participant. The Poster Award was given to Kevin Ly from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology for his poster with the title „Towards an energy- and cost-efficient battery electrode production – Drying of a solvent-reduced granule-based system“.

Also, as every year, the POLiS Award of Excellence for Female Researchers was also presented – this year’s awardee was Dr. Theresa Schoetz, Assistant Professor at The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA.
